WILLEMSTAD — All Justice-20 patrol vessels currently in service will be replaced starting in 2026, as part of a broader modernization of the Coast Guard fleet.
The aging boats will be replaced with six new small patrol vessels and accompanying trailers, improving reliability and operational readiness. At the same time, the Coast Guard will continue preparations for replacing its cutter fleet, with new cutters expected to become operational in the second half of 2028.
Authorities acknowledge that maintaining high availability of older vessels remains a challenge, making fleet renewal a key priority for the coming years.
