WILLEMSTAD - The FIU Financial Intelligence Unit is switching to a new reporting system for intelligence and unusual transactions.
This is now for the first time via a web portal. Every year, the FIU receives thousands of reports, which no longer has to be processed from notebook to computer.
Many sectors are legally obliged to report unusual financial transactions, such as car dealers and real estate agents, and this can now be done via the internet.
