WILLEMSTAD - Residents of Lagun neighborhood decided yesterday to tear down a resort wall. The wall is said to have been built illegally on the site. The construction of the resort is a long-drawn-out issue that has been going on for more than ten years.
Since 2009, there have been several lawsuits between the government and the resort, in which the government was partly in the right. Now another wall has been built, this time on the site of a weekend house that would belong to the Fundashon Bario di Lagun. Residents have therefore decided to tear down the wall themselves.
