WILLEMSTAD - The Curaçao Restaurant Association (CRA) is not happy with the extension of the opening hours of truk’i pan (BBQ stands). This is according to Egon Sybrandy, business director of the CRA.
The truk'i pan are allowed to open as early as five o'clock in the afternoon, Prime Minister Rhuggenaath announced that recently during a press conference. The CRA believes this is unfair competition. Sybrandy has indicated earlier in conversation with Finance Minister Gijsberta that this would further endanger the already poor financial situation of restaurants.
