WILLEMSTAD - Curaçao must raise the retirement age from 65 to 66 in 2025. This was decided in the negotiations with the Netherlands for the Country Package (financial aid) for Curaçao. The first proposal suggested an increase to 67 years, but after negotiations, it was decided to 66.
Daisy Tyrol-Carolus announced this on behalf of the technical team for the negotiations. More bottlenecks emerged, such as the composition of the OHO, the duration of the Kingdom Act, and Dutch participation in public companies.
