WILLEMSTAD - Prime Minister Eugene Ruggenaath is positive about the talks with the Netherlands about the financial support and the associated conditions. "The talks are productive and progress is being made to reach an agreement together."
In a video message, Rhuggenaath says that clarity has now been obtained about the part of the law that concerns the functioning of parliament and how it should be treated with respect. In this way, the autonomy of Curaçao can be preserved, which is very important according to the Prime Minister.
The minister also makes it clear that the loan that the Netherlands will provide is at zero percent interest. Borrowing elsewhere will be more expensive and involve greater risk.
