WILLEMSTAD - Prime Minister Eugene Rhuggenaath warns the unions that are threatening with actions that the government has no choice but to implement the austerity measures. That became clear yesterday in the Prime Minister's press conference.
The measures are taken as a result of the budgetary instruction currently on the table hurt less than if the Netherlands had intervened immediately.
In the agreement with The Hague, the deficits may be spread over several years. The trade unions will respond tomorrow with an action plan.
