WILLEMSTAD – The 20th edition of Ride, Swim, Walk & Run for the Roses on Curaçao attracted more than 7,500 participants this year and raised over 500,000 guilders for the Prinses Wilhelmina Fonds, which supports cancer patients on the island. This was announced by the Stichting Ride for the Roses Curaçao.
According to the organization, the anniversary edition was once again highly successful, due in large part to the efforts of numerous volunteers, sponsors, and partner organizations who ensured that the event ran safely and smoothly.
Participants took part in cycling, running, swimming, and walking activities along various routes leading to Mambo Beach, where they were warmly welcomed. The swimming events at Jan Thiel and Mambo Beach also drew significant interest, with separate categories for recreational swimmers and competitive athletes.
Winners were announced across multiple disciplines, including youth participants in the 2-kilometer run and top performers in the 5- and 8.5-kilometer races. In the swimming events, several strong times were recorded, with a standout performance by Zinha Falbru, who completed an especially challenging route against the current.
The organization has already begun preparations for the 21st edition of Ride, Swim, Walk & Run for the Roses, which is scheduled to take place in early 2027.
