WILLEMSTAD – The youth team of Rio Canario delivered an impressive 10–5 win against Brievengat Pariba on the field of Star Circle, turning the match around after a difficult first half. “After conceding several early goals, the team completely transformed the game with attacking football and visibly growing confidence,” Fundashon Bicentini reports.
According to the street coach of Rio Canario, who is completing an internship with the foundation, the momentum shifted after one bold play reignited the team. “In the second half, Rio Canario played more aggressively and creatively, backed by a passionate crowd that stood firmly behind them,” he said. The young goalkeeper delivered several crucial saves that kept the team in the match.
In a gesture that underscored the foundation’s values, even the youngest players from both teams were given playing time — a move that organizer Remko Bicentini says reinforces equality and respect in sports.
“With this 10–5 victory, Rio Canario showed how far a youth team can go when talent is supported by confidence, strong coaching, and a united community,” Fundashon Bicentini stated.
