WILLEMSTAD - The eighth edition of Cura Doet, the largest volunteer action on the island, will take place on July 30 and 31, 2021. The theme this year is "For each other, by each other".
During Cura Doet, initiatives are put in the limelight and citizens are encouraged to roll up their sleeves (part of) for a day. Together with NL Doet, Bon Doet, Aruba Doet, Statia Doet and SXM Doet, the campaign has now grown into the largest volunteer initiative in the Kingdom.
The initiative takes place annually in March but was postponed by a few months due to the corona pandemic. This year, 262 organizations have registered with a total of 300 projects.
The driving forces behind the action day on Curaçao are Curaçao Cares and the Oranje Fonds. The Oranje Fonds makes money available for each project
But private individuals, schools, families, groups of friends and companies can also contribute. For example with money for materials such as paint or wood, but also groceries to provide snacks or lunch for the volunteers. Please contact curadoet@curacaocares.org for this.
