WILLEMSTAD - Member of Parliament Marilyn Moses has today indicated at the end of Shaheen Elhage's summary proceedings that she will voluntarily attend the upcoming meeting of parliament. This means that it no longer seems necessary for the judge to render a judgment. If Moses does not attend the public meeting, Judge Kimberley Lasten will rule in the summary proceedings that were heard today on August 12.
The question is whether the judge can force members of Parliament to attend a parliamentary meeting. Judge Lasten tried during the hearing to bring the parties closer together. However, the judge regretted that the members of Parliament had to meet in summary proceedings. “Because our country is in crisis. And we lose time and money in this way.”
