WILLEMSTAD - Employees of the Capriles Clinic will probably receive their salary later than usual this month. GGz, the foundation for mental health care, has tax debts.
The Tax and Customs Administration has now seized part of the healthcare budget that the insurer, the Social Insurance Bank (SVB) pays out to GGz. The staff has been notified by management.
As with the clinic, the rates in mental health care have never been adjusted since 2001. In addition, Capriles must still receive more than two million guilders from the Ministry of Justice, the judge recently ruled.
