Samira Rafaela: EU-Africa relationship promising

BRUSSELS - D66 MEP Samira Rafaela was appointed this week as the Renew Europe Coordinator within the Committee on International Trade (INTA) of the European Parliament.

Together with her colleagues, she will ensure that Renew Europe continues to play an important role in advancing trade policy. "Our group will continue to play an important role in the discussions on trade policy within our committee in the coming years," Rafaela said after the appointment.

 

The group in the European Parliament wants to make EU trade relations fairer and more sustainable. One of the spearheads is to promote the strategic partnership with Africa in the coming months. According to the politician, the relationship between the EU and Africa has enormous potential. Renew Europe is also committed to fostering relations with partners in Latin America.
