WILLEMSTAD - The Sandals Royal Resort has received five building permits for the second phase of construction. The luxury hotel will officially open on Wednesday and is already working on the expansion. The permits are for the construction of additional hotel rooms near the ocean. Minister of Transport, Transport and Spatial Planning Charles Cooper handed over the permits on Monday.
During the processing of the building permit, several government agencies had to take into account important aspects, including different safety requirements.
