WILLEMSTAD - The situation regarding Sargassum on the north side is again alarming.
The sea in the bay at Ascension is barely visible due to huge amounts of seaweed there. St. Patrick and Groot Sint Joris also have large layers of Sargassum on the water.
At the south coast of Rif St. Marie an oil containment boom has been placed to keep the seaweed out.
