WILLEMSTAD - School principals have recently been allowed to give their own permission for exemptions for students who go on a trip. Before this, this was only possible with the permission of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
Parents can submit the travel leave application to the school with a document stating the student's name and date of birth, the reason for the exemption request, and the parents' name and ID numbers.
The school principal must approve this by means of a stamp and a signature. The change has been in effect since the beginning of this month.
