WILLEMSTAD - All students of primary and secondary schools on Curaçao are allowed to go back to school starting this Wednesday 28 April. And the before and after school care is also reopening.
The Ministry of Education announced this last week Friday, after consultation with the Epidemiological Center (EPI).
Since March 29, the students - with the exception of graduate students and children in group 8 of primary school - only receive virtual education. From Wednesday, all students can now physically go to school again.
The plachi di dia (license plate of the day) will remain in force for the time being, but an exception is made for bringing and picking up students to and from school. However, fixed times apply: in the morning from 04:30 to 08:00 and in the afternoon from 12:00 to 14:00.
These times also apply to pre- and after-school education. For after-school care, children may be picked up between 4:30 PM and 6:00 PM.
