WILLEMSTAD - The schools on Curaçao are open today. Minister of Education, Science, Culture and Sports Steven Croes announced this on Sunday.
He thus responds to the series of power outages that have occurred in Curaçao. According to the minister, education can continue as usual. Croes has discussed this with the Education Inspectorate.
The minister has told the various school boards to consult with their school managements about possible consequences of the power cuts for tests and exams. He also advises the boards to show understanding for the difficult situation.
The intention is that as many tests and exams as possible take place, but in consultation, according to the new Minister of Education.
