WILLEMSTAD - The SDK stadium in Brievengat will be opened as a second location for the booster against Covid-19. The first shots will be taken in the stadium on Sunday 26 December.
The government wants as many people as possible to get the booster shot in a short period of time. Today a large shipment of 60,000 vaccines arrives at Hato Airport from the Netherlands. “From Sunday, injections can be done every day,” says immunologist Ashley Duits. Previously, people could only go for a vaccination three days a week.
Today a dry run was organized in the SDK stadium. All employees follow a training so that the first shots can be taken in the stadium on Sunday. Duits emphasizes that the people who have already made an appointment have priority in the procedure.
