WILLEMSTAD - In an official statement to the media, the management of Sentro di Detenshon i Korekshon Korsou (SDKK), Curaçao’s prison, admitted Wednesday afternoon that some of the food for the prisoners turned out to be unsuitable for consumption.
The spoiled meals were discovered when the food was checked just before lunch time. Fly eggs were found in six of the meals.
According to the prison management, the meals were not properly closed. As the procedure dictates, all meals for the entire ward have been thrown out.
SDKK has come out with the statement after the message spread quickly on social media.
