WILLEMSTAD - The Hato Airport Police arrested a security guard on Thursday after he was found carrying live ammunition in the pocket of his uniform.
According to police, the man’s behavior drew attention, prompting officers to carry out a routine check. During that inspection, several rounds of ammunition were discovered in his possession.
Airport Police immediately called in the regular police force, who arrested the security guard on the spot and transferred him for interrogation.
Authorities have not yet released information regarding the origin of the ammunition or the possible motive. The investigation is ongoing.
