WILLEMSTAD - The antigen self-tests for Covid-19 can be sold on Curaçao from January 1. This was announced before the turn of the year through a Ministerial Order.
The self-tests were previously sold at various pharmacies but were later removed from the shelves. The tests fell under unregistered medicines and the purchase was prohibited.
From 1 January, the tests will again be available at pharmacies without a prescription. Import by private individuals is only permitted for personal use up to a maximum of ninety self-tests per person per quarter.
Local companies may purchase a large number of self-tests if they want to have their own employees to use them for the sake of safety in the workplace.
