WILLEMSTAD – Waste management company Selikor has announced adjustments to its household waste collection schedule and the opening hours of landfill sites Malpais and Koraal Specht during the Christmas period.
According to Selikor, household waste will be collected on Wednesday, December 25 (Christmas Day), and Friday, December 27 (Boxing Day). No waste collection will take place on Saturday and Sunday. Residents are reminded that waste containers may only be placed outside in the early morning on the designated collection days.
Selikor’s head office will be open today from 7:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and tomorrow morning from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. During these hours, residents may also dispose of waste at the Malpais landfill, while the Koraal Specht landfill will remain closed.
On Boxing Day, Malpais will be open from 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., while Koraal Specht will be accessible from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Selikor urges residents to take note of the adjusted schedule and to dispose of waste only at the designated times, in order to ensure smooth and orderly waste management during the holiday period.
