Previously, the garbage collectors went on strike due to the shortage of garbage trucks. According to the activists, the workload was too high. Due to the strike, however, the work accumulated and the work became twice as heavy for the employees.
The garbage collectors are now back to work. "We started with good spirits this week," said Selikor employees. “Our goal is to get as close as possible to the normal weekly schedule this week. Everything indicates that we can follow the schedule as planned. "
The neighborhoods, Barber, Cocori, Dokterstuin, Flip, Fontein, Fuik, Koraal Partier, Otrobanda, Savaneta, Santa Cruz, Santa Martha, Wacawa, Westpunt and Zumbu are planned for Monday. In these neighborhoods the waste is normally also collected on Monday.
