WILLEMSTAD - Garbage disposal company Selikor hopes to catch up with the garbage collection this week. Not all routes have been driven this week, which means that the garbage has not been collected from many people.
The garbage trucks started operating the routes of Tuesday and Wednesday on Thursday. The neighborhoods where the household waste has not been collected on Thursday will be visited on Friday. Friday's route is done in the weekend.
Selikor's staff will continue to work on Saturday and Sunday to make up for the backlog. The garbage collection company says the problem is not theirs but does not give a precise reason for the backlog.
