WILLEMSTAD - Earlier this week the employees of Selikor started working again. This is because there are filled garbage bins everywhere along the road.
Frensley Sille, chairman of the BTG union representing the employees of Selikor, indicated that there is still a difficult situation. For example, employees are still not paid for overtime and they do not get the hours back in any other way.
Nor is there enough money to replace broken equipment. That is why there are still many trash bins along the road, resulting in nuisance from dogs and the spread of waste.
Update: Selikor employees organized a protest today again in downtown Punda demanding answers from the government.
