Selikor starts end-of-life vehicles campaign

Local | By Correspondent October 21, 2020

WILLEMSTAD - The waste management company Selikor has started a campaign to collect end-of-life vehicles as part of the Environmental Week. In collaboration with Unidat di Bario, Selikor wants to motivate local residents to get rid of old cars that have been on the properties for years.

According to Selikor, the number of end-of-life vehicles has increased significantly recently, mainly because owners do not want to get rid of their cars due to emotional value. The end-of-life vehicles cause a lot of environmental pollution and can sometimes also be an obstacle to public roads. Car owners can give permission to pick up the old cars at the Koraal Specht community center or via email.

When collecting the vehicle, each owner receives an agricultural wheelie bin and a bag of vitamin for plants.
