THE HAGUE - There will be a separate Undersecretary for Kingdom Relations and Digitization in the Rutte IV cabinet. Within the current cabinet, Kingdom Relations coincided with the Interior.
Raymond Knops (CDA) was appointed Undersecretary for Kingdom Relations and the Interior in April 2017. In the next cabinet, the Undersecretariat of Kingdom Relations will receive more priority and a larger budget will be made available.
It is not yet known who will succeed Knops as Undersecretary. The names of Jan Paternotte (D66), Marnix van Rij (CDA) and André Bosman (VVD) are mentioned in the corridors of The Hague.
