Service clubs are committed to Famia Plania

Local | By Press release April 2, 2021

WILLEMSTAD - On January 26, the chairmen of seven service clubs signed an agreement to work together for the benefit of the Famia Plania Foundation (Planned Family). The aim of the collaboration is to draw attention to all activities that the foundation carries out and (not unimportantly) in what circumstances they do this. Due to COVID-19, the planned Teleton cannot take place. This was no reason for the service clubs to stop, but through cooperation and creativity it was decided to organize a virtual Facebook LIVE event.

On Saturday, April 3, virtual attention will be drawn to the work of Famia Plania between 2 and 5 pm. Influencers and employees of Famia Plania discuss the problems that an unwanted pregnancy can cause. Information is provided and shared from which the target group can learn a lot. Making the problems open to discussion is the first step towards providing help. At the moment the housing of Famia Plania is very dated. The event focuses on raising donations so that the foundation can continue its work in a modernized working environment. The live session will be shared by all service clubs (Curaçao Lions Club, Curaçao Quota Club, Kiwanis Club Curaçao, Kiwanis Club Piscadera, Rotaract Club of Curaçao, Rotary Club of Curaçao, Rotary Club Willemstad) and their members on Facebook. Check out the Facebook page fundashonfamiaplania on Saturday 3 April.
