WILLEMSTAD – A shooting incident was reported Tuesday evening in the St. Joris neighborhood, where a house on Kaya Aphrodite came under fire. A car parked in the yard of the residence was also struck by bullets.
Police from the Montaña district responded immediately after receiving reports of gunfire. Upon arrival, officers found indications that a dark-colored vehicle had driven through the street, from which multiple shots were fired toward the house.
Detectives and forensic specialists from the police and the Forensic Investigation Team conducted an on-site investigation. More than six shell casings were recovered from the roadway.
No injuries have been reported. The investigation into the circumstances of the shooting and those involved is ongoing. Police are urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has information to come forward.
