WILLEMSTAD - This coming Tuesday, March 30, the rate of gasoline and diesel in Curaçao will increase. The rates for electricity and water will also increase on Thursday 1 April. This is reported by the Bureau Telecommunication and Post in its monthly press release.
A liter of gasoline rises considerably from 1,980 Naf to 2,215 Naf. That's an increase of more than 23 cents. A liter of diesel will be 13 cents more expensive. Since November 2020, there has been a sharp sustained rise in international price quotations for both crude oil and refined fuels. Among other things, this has resulted in price increases on Curaçao.
