WILLEMSTAD - The Minister of Finance Javier Silvania settled the conflict with one of his bodyguards. As a result, the minister has had a personal security guard again since yesterday. Acting Justice Minister Gilmar Pisas announced this yesterday.
Last week, the two bodyguards of the finance minister resigned because of a labor dispute. Silvania had to do without personal protection for a week. In consultation with the Minister of Justice and the police leadership, it has been agreed that one of the security guards will resume his work. The other bodyguard is transferred. Someone else will replace him.
Silvania also promised to change. He would start working on his behavior and the treatment of his subordinates. Two reports have been prepared in response to complaints about Silvania. The first report was released some time ago. The second report dates from last week, Pisas said yesterday.
