WILLEMSTAD - Over the past four years, six Glock firearms have been missing or have disappeared from the Ministry of Defense in Curaçao. The first disappeared in 2018 at naval base Suffisant, then in 2020 one fell into the water at Fuikbaai that has never been found.
Last year, four disappeared from the Suffisant base, three of them at the same time on December 26. The investigation into this is still in progress. The disappearance on Boxing Day was discovered after a count.
Glock firearms are carried on the street when military personnel and militiamen provide assistance to the Curaçao police.
