WILLEMSTAD - The medically critical Skepsis Foundation finds it shocking that the Council of Ministers, on the initiative of former minister of Public Health Suzanne Camelia-Römer, supports alternative medicine.
Camelia-Römer already won the Master Kackadoris Prize for quackery last week.
Skepsis dentist Eric den Brabander is highly critical of the so-called "wellness" program, on which more than 2 million guilders have already been spent, even though there is no scientific evidence for it.
Den Brabander says that alternative medicines are also often dangerous and that cancer patients have even died from them.
