WILLEMSTAD - The Social Insurance Bank (SVB) cannot unilaterally determine the maximum amount medical specialists may earn per year. This is according to a court ruling. There is no law that makes that possible.
Medical specialists Dr. Arthur Liqui Long and Dr. Earl Esseboom were previously proved right by the judge. SVB then appealed. Without success.
SVB wants to reduce the costs of healthcare with the so-called production ceiling. SVB is authorized to make financial agreements with the medical specialists in a healthcare contract. These negotiations are still ongoing.
