WILLEMSTAD - It came to Curaçao Airport Partners’ (CAP) attention that some articles have been circulating regarding future tariffs of the airport and taken out of context.
The airport has been greatly affected by the COVID-19 Pandemic, and CAP has initiated the formal process to define future rates and charges according to the current legislation.
CAP would like to emphasize that the rates and charges mentioned in the press are a first step in a consultation process with stakeholders, based on the legislation which entails that the crisis impact needs to be considered within the period ending in December 2021. More importantly, CAP is working with the government entities involved to reach a long term agreement and given the good faith in all parties, CAP trusts to mitigate the effect of the crisis on those rates and charges through changes in legislation and concession contract.
CAP provides world-class services and facilities to our passengers and community, and the company remains committed to maintain such high levels and be an airport which all of us can be proud of.
