Statement prison against fake news

WILLEMSTAD - In a press release, the Curaçao prison (SDKK) denies that employees have been placed on a mandatory leave of absence. Reports circulated in the media that employees showed immoral behavior and was ordered to stay at home

There was talk on social media about three prison guards who allegedly had sex with undocumented people. It is most likely illegal Venezuelans who are locked up in the barracks near the prison.

"There is no mandatory leave, and no investigation is being conducted into the moral activities of personnel," the SDKK said in its press release.
