WILLEMSTAD - There must be a statue for Tula in the city center. That is the opinion of journalist Julius Koko, who has set up a committee for this.
The monument on the Rif, the current Tula monument, is a reminder of the slave uprising in 1795 and is much broader in scope. Koko wants a separate statue, preferably on the Hendrikplein in Punda.
