WILLEMSTAD - The Financial Intelligence Unit Curaçao (FIU), formerly MOT, has developed a 5-step plan to enable a smooth transition of all reports to the new goAML portal. The goAML portal will completely replace the old Corsys portal.
As announced earlier, the FIU will switch to a new reporting portal on 1 January 2021. The new portal has now been tested with a select group of detectors.
In the second step, instructions will be given on how to register in the new portal. All reporting entities will have to (re-) register in the new goAML portal in the last quarter of 2020 in order to submit their transaction reports as of January 1, 2021. According to FIU, this is a process that is different from before. Even if one is already registered in Corsys, one still has to register again in goAML.
FIU Curaçao will hold short virtual instruction meetings from 16 to 20 November 2020 in which reporters are instructed about registering in the goAML reporting portal.
Step three means that reporting parties can register or re-register in the goAML reporting portal from 23 November.
Steps four and five have not yet been disclosed.
