Steven Martina: “I can still be a minister”

Local | By Correspondent October 24, 2019

WILLEMSTAD - Steven Martina: "The accusation of the Public Prosecution Service (OM) and the decision of the judge of a reasonable suspicion of guilt does not preclude becoming a minister again"

Former minister Steven Martina thinks he can become a minister again. He does not think that the OM's accusation of conflict of interest during his ministerial period and the reasonable suspicion of guilt that was pronounced yesterday by the judge is a reason to refrain from resuming the ministerial post.

The judge ruled yesterday that Korsou di Nos Tur's complaint of prosecuting the MAN politician cannot be accepted.

Ampara dos Santos and Carlos Monk of KdNT are not directly interested parties, according to the court, which is a legal requirement to be able to file a complaint against no further prosecution.

Since Steven Martina thinks he can become a minister again, the current minister of Economic Development Giselle Mc William will have to resign. That's how it is arranged in the party, says Martina.
