Still mandatory PCR test for travel between Curaçao and Bonaire

Local | By Correspondent May 24, 2021

WILLEMSTAD, KRALENDIJK - Despite the relatively low number of infections at the moment and the increased vaccination coverage on Bonaire and also Curaçao, a PCR test remains mandatory for both the outward and return flights when traveling between these islands.

The Bonaire Public Body reports that anyone traveling from Curaçao to Bonaire needs a negative PCR test result. This test must not be older than 72 hours. The obligation does not apply to children under the age of 13.

A health declaration must also be completed in advance on bonairepublichealth.org. You must have a printout of both the test result and the health certificate with you during the trip and upon arrival.

If you travel from Bonaire to Curaçao, and you are older than 7 years, you can go to the test street again for a PCR test. Also, the Passenger Locator Card (PLC) must be completed on dicardcuracao.com 48 hours prior to departure.

In addition, you will have to have an antigen test done three days after arrival in Curaçao. You should have made an appointment for that quick test before boarding the plane. You must have proof of that appointment and payment with you during the trip and on arrival, together with the PLC and the test result on paper.
