WILLEMSTAD – Several young boxers from Curaçao delivered impressive results at the Dutch National Boxing Championships (NK Boksen), securing medals and national recognition. The tournament, held across Apeldoorn, Breda and Rotterdam, showcased both locally based talent and Curaçao-born athletes now living in the Netherlands.

According to the Curaçao Boxing Association, the standout performer of the event was Skye Prinssen, who dominated the Junior -60 kg division and won the gold medal. With this victory, Prinssen is now officially a Dutch national champion.
Shermilon Susana also had a strong showing, reaching the finals in the Schoolboys -66 kg category and earning a silver medal after a hard-fought match.
In the Youth 55–60 kg category, Nahdir Haseth advanced to the semifinals. Although he had to settle for bronze following what the association called a “controversial jury decision,” his performance was described as exceptionally strong.

Curaçao-born athletes residing in the Netherlands also contributed to the medal tally. Raekwon Baas reached the semifinals and secured bronze in the Elite 70–75 kg division, while Cyrus Clarinda fought in the tournament’s final bout on November 30, ultimately taking home a silver medal.
“These are fantastic results, and we are incredibly proud of our boxers,” the Curaçao Boxing Association said.
