Strong Public Interest in “Tuma Bo Pèrmit” Residency Project

Local | By Press release December 12, 2025

WILLEMSTAD – The first week of the “Tuma Bo Pèrmit” project has drawn a remarkably high turnout, with the Admission Service assisting a total of 772 people between December 1 and December 5, 2025.

According to the department, this number demonstrates that many residents had long been waiting for the opportunity to finalize their residency status.

The temporary project allows eligible individuals—those who have already received a positive decision and possess all required original documents—to obtain their residency stamp without needing an appointment. Participants can walk in from Monday to Thursday between 8:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m., and on Fridays between 8:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.

Because capacity is limited, a maximum number of walk-in tickets are distributed daily. The final time to take a number is 2:30 p.m. from Monday to Thursday and 11:30 a.m. on Fridays.

Since regular appointments are already booked through the end of December 2025, residents may choose either to attend their scheduled appointment or to take advantage of the walk-in project while it lasts.

The Admission Service expressed satisfaction that so many people have already used the opportunity and urged anyone who still needs to receive their residency stamp to do so before the project concludes on Tuesday, December 30, 2025.
