WILLEMSTAD - A survey by the national Ombudsman shows that 40 percent of those questioned think that the government is not doing enough to give the less fortunate access to clean drinking water.
Almost 60 percent think that the government should provide a subsidy on the water bill for the citizens who need it. 73 percent also want a free amount of clean drinking water to be allocated to the less fortunate every month.
The online survey is not entirely representative of the island, as only people with internet access were able to participate.
