WILLEMSTAD - On Saturday night, the historic city center of Punda was flooded with a wave of joy and unity during the Red Nose Walk, organized by CliniClowns Curaçao in celebration of their 15th anniversary. Approximately 700 enthusiastic participants gathered at Waaigat to take part in this special celebration, which followed a beautiful route within Punda and Otrabanda, concluding at Wilhelminaplein. The evening was filled with various activities, with inclusivity at its core; this event was also wheelchair accessible.
This inaugural edition of the Red Nose Walk brought people of all ages together for an evening of fun. The red, illuminated nose served as the admission ticket. The illuminated procession through the streets of Punda left a trail of smiles, spreading the spirit of CliniClowns, who have been bringing joy to, among others, sick children for 15 years, to adults as well.
The Red Nose Walk began with a brass band, followed by a children's choir filling the streets of Punda with joyful Christmas melodies. Participants then walked through the Sensory Street, where all senses were stimulated for a delightful experience.
At Plaza Jojo Correa, a talented violinist entertained the crowd with her melodic sounds, while Aqualectra in Otrobanda set up an energetic dance floor where participants moved their steps on a floor literally buzzing with energy. The event reached its climax at Wilhelminaplein, where a DJ took the festive atmosphere to new heights.
