Chairman of the Electoral Council Raymond 'Pacheco' Römer and Deputy Chairman Charles Dorego paid a visit to the governor on Wednesday. They updated George-Wout about the preparations for the March 19 elections.

The Supreme Electoral Council is a government-appointed body that independently organizes, monitors and executes elections and referendums in Curaçao according to electoral legislation.
Public Affairs (Kranshi) takes care of the organizational part under the supervision of the Electoral Council. It guarantees openness and efficiency in the electoral process. This means that the body organizes the elections without showing preference for any political party.
