PARAMARIBO - Beer brewer Heineken is going to invest millions of euros in the brewery in Suriname. For the past 66 years, brewers in the country have not been allowed to produce more than 20 million liters per year, but thanks to new legislation, this is now possible.
The brewers in Suriname are also planning to export beer to Curaçao after the expansion. The plan is to brew 50 million liters per year.
