WILLEMSTAD - The Tax and Customs Administration has indicated that there were errors in the new system.
The tax assessments from 2019 to the end of March 2021 would be processed via a new platform. The system uses several control points, making it possible to process assessments automatically.
Due to the lockdown, the relocation of the office and some errors in the system, the process has been delayed, according to the tax authorities. The majority of the assessments were subsequently entered manually again.
The Inspectorate emphasizes that the platform will be adjusted in such a way to correct the errors and hopes to be able to process the assessments automatically in the near future.
