WILLEMSTAD - According to several sources there is an increasing tension within the coalition parties. This is due to the pressure to cut back in the national budget, after instructions from the Netherlands to receive financial aid.
The various parties within the coalition, PAR, MAN and PIN, have not yet been able to reach an agreement on this, the sources indicate. They will continue to debate on this topic, but they need to come to a result quickly since the Netherlands wants to see their demands for the financial aid being complied with, even if this means that certain legislation should be amended or new ones adopted by Parliament.
