WILLEMSTAD - The Central Bureau of Statistics (CBS) today publishes consumer price indices based on a new weighting scheme (average year 2019). In 2016, the CBS conducted a budget survey, with the aim, among other things, of updating the weighting schedules used to calculate monthly developments in consumer prices.
The main changes in the methodology are as follows:
-The index has been recalculated and adjusted to the price reference period of 2019 and the weighting schedule obtained from the Budget Survey conducted in 2016.
- The new weighting scheme will be introduced from March 2021.
